Eliosix and Filip Ljung Close Summer With Afterglow
Stockholm, Sweden – September 25, 2026 – Stockholm producers Eliosix and Filip Ljung are closing out the summer with Afterglow, a Melodic House collaboration written around that stretch of evening when the sun starts to drop and everything slows down with it.
The track started with one chord and grew from there, no real plan, just the two of them in the studio building it up piece by piece. What came out of it is warm, groovy, and driving, rolling percussion, a bassline that doesn't quit, wide analog pads, and a vocal hook that keeps coming back to the feeling of being wide awake and fully in it. Even in its softer moments, the track keeps pushing forward.
Neither producer wanted Afterglow to be about one specific night or place. It's more about what's left after a moment like that passes, the warmth, the buzz, the sense that you were really there for it. That's part of why it lands the way it does, there's nothing to explain, you just recognize the feeling.
"For me it was about keeping the groove honest," says Eliosix. "We wanted something you could feel in your chest, not just hear. Once that bassline locked in, the whole track just started breathing on its own."
"We didn't really set out to write about anything specific," says Filip Ljung. "We just started playing, and the song told us what it wanted to be. Afterglow is that last bit of light before it's gone, and how good it feels to just sit in it."
As the days get shorter and the light starts to change, Afterglow is a good excuse to sit outside a little longer before it does.
